Call for art
BCON Austin is looking for creative 3D food trucks from the Blender community to showcase during the event!
Austin is famous for its vibrant food truck culture, and we want YOU to design the most imaginative, delicious, and visually stunning virtual food truck you can dream up. Whether you're serving intergalactic tacos, physics-defying burgers, procedurally generated pastries, or cuisine from a dimension we've never heard, we welcome anything you want to serve up!
We're Looking For
- Original 3D food truck designs created in Blender
- Trucks that showcase your unique style, from hyper-realistic to wildly stylized
- Creative branding, menus, and food concepts
- Bonus points for interesting materials, lighting, and presentation
Submission Guidelines
- Artwork must be created primarily with Blender. To give it a percentage that we have no way of quantifying: 75% must be accomplished with Blender.
- We're looking for looping animated renders. Download this .blend to use as your scene. Use the proxy truck as a template so you can animate your truck rolling into the scene, parking for 5-10 seconds, and rolling off-screen. We will chain these loops together in a glorious sequence!
- Only final video files will be accepted. No blend files, no still renders. Videos need to be at least 1920x1080. 2560x1440 is appreciated if you can afford the extra render time. 24fps
- Include the name / username / gamertag you want to be credited at the end of your video. (see example video below)
- Be creative within these guidelines! You can do anything you want with that 5-10 seconds of your truck being parked. Model and animate something fun, unique; something that flexes your muscles and Blender's muscles.

What Happens Next
Selected works will be projected between sessions, and celebrated during our evening social event. Artists will receive full credit and a platform to connect with fellow Blender enthusiasts from around the world.
