In Interactive Media Design, students learn the atomic elements of how games are built, including a midterm tabletop games team project. Rapid prototyping and ideation are emphasized, with Blender often providing the most creative and flexible solutions. This retrospective examines the overlap between Blender and tabletop gaming, including solutions for many classic tabletop game components: board paths, victory tracks, asset iteration, card design, 3D printing, dice, and those sweet sweet hexagons nerds love so much.
