After discovering Blender in 2020, it has been a growing passion personally and professionally for me. At the company I work for, Brasfield & Gorrie, we started to use Blender to aid in construction visualizations and various modeling workflows. It has been becoming a bigger piece of what we do each year, and individually is something I use every day to aid in almost every task.
I never imagined in 2020 that Blender would become such a powerful and versatile tool to help me perform and create within the construction industry, but here I am finding new ways to implement it each week, and it actually makes my life better (my work life at least, my wife is probably tired of the word "Blender"). I hope to get others at my company to learn and adopt Blender in all their workflows and get excited for the future of OpenSource BIM (Building Information Modeling)!
At home, it has become a passion to learn Blender further, and this sparked a personal project of mine called DunderMifflin360. At DunderMifflin360.com you can explore a 360 environment of Dunder Mifflin, modeled and rendered in Blender (this is the office space from the show "The Office (US)". I have not worked on it for years (2023) but it still holds up I think!
Can't wait to see how Blender grows and the community continues to thrive on creative freedom!
